did any of you ladies buy your dresses in Westchester or Queens?
I want to start going to places but I don't know where to start.

Re: Westchester or Queens Wedding Dresses
I bought mine in Nassau. But if you do go to Westchester, there's a place called The Bridal Shop in Mamaroneck, which has really great prices on dresses! I have never been there, just found them online and then looked up reviews. I've heard their customer service isn't great, but their prices are good.

Re: Westchester or Queens Wedding Dresses
it seems like all the places in queens have closed. there used to be TONS on steinway - all my sisters got their dresses there, and they're gone. I think flowerama in ridgewood also closed. the ones in bayside are gone too.
i've heard of the one in mamaroneck, but I would say try the city. kleinfeld's, saks, RK, etc.

There's a shop in Westchester, something Boticelli...House of Boticelli maybe??? Try a google search and see if it comes up....
ETA: I was right, here it is. Super-duper snooty from what I hear. But then I guess at least you know they'll wait on you.

Re: Westchester or Queens Wedding Dresses
I went to Boticelli and wasn't impressed with their service...the woman wouldn't listen to me and kept bringing me dresses that SHE thought I would like, not what I was asking for. And they are very expensive.
I also went to Fontana Bridal in Scarsdale and they were phenomenal there...I definitely would have gotten my dress from them but it was a little far.
Also a friend got her dress at Follia Bridal in White Plains.

Re: Westchester or Queens Wedding Dresses
I bought my gown at House of Botticelli and would definitely recommend them. I even ordered my BM and Jr. dresses there. I was extremely happy with the service. They were far from snotty when I went there. I felt they bent over backwards to accommodate me and my bridal party. I chose going to this store over Kleinfeld and the Reem Acra store b/c I thought they were just so wonderful! The owner of the store Mrs. Botticelli, helped me with each and every fitting. She was such a doll and just so helpful!

Re: Westchester or Queens Wedding Dresses
I had gotten my dress at Macy's Manhasset, which is probably within a 1/2 from the Whitestone Bridge, maybe even less. I thought they were really nice. They didn't serve drinks or anything, haha, but I felt they were very patient and made really good suggestions about things. There are also a few other bridal stores in Manhasset. I haven't been to them, and I don't know how they are, but maybe check out bridal stores in Manhasset, see what comes up and look for reviews.
