Looking for a nice, inexpensive hall that holds only one wedding at a time.
We're paying $80 (plus 8.5% and 15% service charge) at Floral Terrace. It's 4 floors and they only hold one wedding. The first floor is the lobby and garden room; the second floor is the cocktail room; the third floor is the ballroom and the 4th floor is the bridal suite. They can fit about 400 people in their ballroom. It's really beautiful! www.floralterrace.com
I never went to go see it, but I've also heard that the North Ritz Club is beautiful and reasonable. Good Luck!
Reposting to fix the website addy:
I'm getting married there in a few weeks. We're paying $85 a head, plus 8.5% tax and and 18% service charge (for bartenders, waiters, waitresses, bathroom attendants, valets, etc.). The food and service is phenominal (I've been to weddings there before). It's an old historic house that holds one wedding (or any other function) at a time. I would say it could fit comfortably up to 150 guests.
they have a website (http://www.sanssoucicaterers.com)
Good Luck!!
the other two places mentioned are really nice, and I thought about having my wedding at both. Sans Souci was too far for my parents to travel (my grandparents can't be left alone very long) and floral terrace was booked on the night I wanted. 15th and West is on the garden city/mineola border, holds 200 people, 80pp + tax and grat for a sat. night, one wedding only.
739-2217 (you may never have heard of them bc they are ass'd with the nassau county bar ass'n and can't advertise) good luck!
I'm getting married there in Dec. on a Friday night and the prices were great (and included a lot of food). We went for a tasting before we booked, and the food was delicious! Their price also includes the cake and centerpieces! It's only one wedding at a time - and the room fits up to 200. There was only 100 min. too, which is good for a Friday night on Long Island. It is located in Stewart Manor (border line Franklin Square/Garden City)...
I also checked out North Ritz (mentioned earlier) while it was being renovated, and it looked wonderful. We met with Dennis and he was great. But, if you don't meet their required 150 (or maybe even 175) you're not guaranteed to be the only wedding there, and that meant a lot to us.
We attended a good friend's wedding at Sans Souci (also mentioned earlier) and it was beautiful!
If you would like to email me regarding Stewart Manor CC, please do...I'd be happy to help.
