Where did you stay/ do you plan to stay on your wedding night!??
Our evening reception is at Windows on the Lake in Lake Ronkonkoma. We want to stay somewhere semi-romantic, but will be leaving the hotel for our honeymoon by 10 the next morning, so we don't want to spend too much money on a room we will be in for less than 12 hours. Is this an impossible task? Please help!!

There's a nice B&B next to Trumpets on the Bay in Center Moriches. It's not too far - not sure of the price.

Re: Western/Central Suffolk Brides!
Lots of nice places nearby.
There are some little Inns and such in the Stony Brook area. Plus, there is always Danfords.
There are lots of places in the MacArthur airport area, which is really close to Windows on the Lake. There are a few that are only about 2 years old.
There is a Holiday Inn on the expressway service road in Hauppauge which looks like nothing great from the outside, but I heard that the rooms are great!! There is also another Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma and I went to a wedding showcase there and it looked pretty nice (lobby was very nice, didn't see rooms).
There's the Smithtown Sheraton, the hotel at the Hamlet Windwatch (a Hilton, I think). There's at least one Marriott nearby.
I work in Ronkonkoma and have gotten to know the area, so if you aren't from that area and need info, FM me if you have questions.

Re: Western/Central Suffolk Brides!
We are getting married at the Watermill. OUr guests are at the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge and we are at the Inn at Fox Hollow.
You could also look into Oheka Castle but I know it's out of range for a lot of brides.
I know both are on the border but we figure we will ne leaving for the airport the next day.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. I will say that it wasn't the most romatic - but it is what you make of it.

Re: Western/Central Suffolk Brides!
we are getting married at the Beach Club :D
And staying at the Mariott in Ronkonkoma. Right on the LIE service road. It's about a year old and beautiful inside. They have a large honeymoon suite and a junior. We picked the junior b/c it has a whirlpool in the living room (though I doubt we'll get to use it ;) )
They also gave us a nice discount b/c we blocked off a bunch of rooms for our event.

Re: Western/Central Suffolk Brides!
We are just staying at the Smithtown Sheraton...it's a decent hotel, nothing special, it is the hotel where our guests will be at and our morning after brunch....we didn't want to have to go far or get up early to make it.....the night will be special no matter where we are.
