WHAT A BUSY DAY WE HAD TODAY!!!!!!!!

Today we went for the license. I was all giddy THen afterwards we went to look at some used cars. WE were just going to look. If all goes well, tomorrow at this time I'll be a proud owner of a 2002 toyota camary. we're so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The license...makes it all so real! I remember being freaked about making the last name change right then and there!

YES! I was NOT expecting that at all! You pick a new 'surname' on the license...that's what gets the ball rolling...then after the wedding they mail you the marriage certificate and it states your new surname...you use the certificate to change your license, passport, SS card, bank accounts, etc. I was NOT prepared to make that decision so uneventfully, but alas, I caved.

OMG!!!!! FH and I can go for our license in a matter of WEEKS! what the ___?! I am so NOT prepared to give up my maiden name that fast

You can go as early as 60 days before your wedding, no later than 2 days before (you must wait 48 hours after getting the license before you get married).
