What a day....

What a day....

It started out this morning when my co-worker had seizure right in front of me. It was so scary!! When EMS finally came and took him out he was still unresponsive and now we all are worried to death. He is 33 yrs old married with 2 very young children.
So to get my mind off things I decided to go and check my e-mail. Thats when I found out that the ring I ordered for FH for Christmas was stolen in transit. All UPS has is a empty box. So now I wont have my surprise Christmas present for him. I am not going to have the time to run round to stores to look for something else and I'll be damned if I am going to try to reorder it again. (it probably wont even get here by christmas if I did)
Just had to vent a little. Hopefully the afternoon will be better

oh thats horrible!! Hopefully your coworker is ok.... Was your package insured...usually UPS and the company that you ordered from will replace your item if lost and/or stolen. Or they will give you your money back

UPS is doing an investigation and the place I ordered from said they cant do anything untill the investigation was completed with UPS. I wanted to cancel my order but they said they couldnt do it yet.

It can take a person a very long time to come out from a seizure and often times even if they talk to you right away or even the next day they dont make much sense. FH used to suffer from them.

so sorry to hear about your co-worker.

as for the ring, make sure you stay on top of UPS & the company you ordered from, otherwise they wont do their job.

He seemed like he was coming out of it for a min. He said something but we didnt understand what he said. But then he was out of it again.

yea that happens. They say things and they think you can understand and it doesnt mean anything to you. FH never would never remember anything from right before till 12 hours or so later.

OMG I hope your co-worker is ok.

I am telling I have heard so many stories of things happening to young/healthy people. It just makes you think that you can never be too sure about what will life throw at you. Can't take life for granted.

I am soooo sorry about your ring....

I had a similar situation happen to me when I ordered an Ipod and it was sent via UPS. I got a sealed box that had nothing in it. They did an investigation that took about a day and since it was a X-mas gift, I got it sent to me like overnight. I am hoping that you get some good news and that they can send it to you before X-mas.

I remember in high school once we snuck out to smoke cigarettes in tha parking lot and all of a sudden my friend falls over and starts seizing on the ground. luckily my other friend who had epilepsy knew what to do while I ran in to get the nurse. She was fine but it was very scary. I'm sorry to hear about the ring being stolen that is crap. I am sure you will get your money back...

Re: What a day.... 'Update'

We found out this afternoon that my co-worker was doing ok. He was responsive and his wife was with him at the hospital. They are keeping him a few days but thank God he will be ok.
