What a Day!

On a not so good note, i'm really unhappy with what happened at work today (even though I feel better now thanks to fh!). An elderly (and i'm talking old....) faculty member kicked one of my kids...on purpose. The mother of this kid was called and is now furious, which I don't blame her for being. The sh*tty thing is that my school isn't gonna do anything about it. Apparently this faculty member has done this before (hit kids, pulled their hair) and never had any consequences for doing so. I think she should be fired personally. If I was a parent, I would raise hell at my kid's school. So long story short, the police came but they can't do anything and this lady will get away with it because my principal wants to 'protect' her. If a teacher as myself did this to a kid, i'd be fired, in jail, and lose my teaching license. And this is why NYC schools can be soooooooo f-ed up.

So anyway, my cr*ppy day just took a turn for the better! I just got an early V-day gift in the mail from FH. He mailed a jewelry box (I was in desperate need of one!) with a spa gift certificate inside to get a massage! He said I deserved it cuz of what i've been going thru at work and also cuz i've been doing kickboxing which has killed my back actually. I'm so excited to go next week when i'm off from work!!!!

That is horrible!!! I am so sorry you had to have the added stress of that!!!

omg!!! that's crazy-i mean i work with infants and they make me want to drop kick them across the room when they're all screaming but id NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER do anything like that EVER-i just put them in their cribs and walk away haha but some people don't know how to do that-just walk away and breathe until theyre ready to handle the situation and that's scary.

BUT ona good note-thats soooo nice of fh-go and enjoy every minute ofyour spa day!

and i agree, she really really should be fired. and ashley, i know what u mean about wanting to drop kick those kids sometimes! lol but people like us would NEVER! i guess this woman had nooo problem.

That is horrible! I am a teacher and know that if I did something like that I would be fired. Thats really scary that nothing is being done to this teacher. I would be furious!!!
