so i really havent been on here much, but i want to say i am glad to be back. my mother has been very sick. first she had some heart problems where she had to be shocked into a normal rhythm, then she was diagnosed with breast cancer. this was the second time. she first had it when i was 14 and i honestly dont remember much other than being scared out of my mind. she did great back then. now....4 days after the breast cancer diagnosis, she had appendicitis and it got really complicated and was in the hospital for 19 days. 2 weeks later she had to have a bilateral mastectomy. she is doing awesome and she is now home but we have had the worst couple of months. she is going through a lot emotionally and i am having a hard time helping her bc she is my rock and she is going through so much right now. everyday i think how can i plan a wedding with all that she is going through? i want to relax and enjoy this special time and i am so happy that she is doing great and will be fine but am having a hard time feeling ok when she is so down. ugh just had to get that off my chest, i hope each of you remember how precious life is and cherish every moment we all have with the people that mean so much to us.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard it is when your rock is going through a tough time. I'm sure though that she is getting her energy and positiveness from you. That's what family does - lean on each other when they have to. I'm glad she has made it through everything and hope for a quick road to recovery. Like you said you have to cherish everyday and let those who we love know it. We are always here for you to lean on too
