Remember how I said that I was in an accident on the 15th? Well, my car was totaled, not my fault, and I found out today that my stuff was stolen from my car. I could not think straight that night because of what just happened so I didn't think to grab all of my stuff because I was freaking out over the accident....as a matter of fact my mind was blank after being smacked so hard I was just so upset. So, today I found out that the people that towed my car most likely stole my stuff (Mp3 player, umbrella etc) I had in the car. I can't believe how cruel people are after something like that happens to you... Especially at the holidays. Sad...

Can you write a letter to the attorney general's office in nassau about that company? Maybe put a report in at the better business bureau web site. Just to do something, you know?

Honey, they'll get theres! Once someone did something like that to me, and later down the road, they lost their knee caps. I turns out they did the samething to this girl whos brother is in the mob. I don't believe in Karma but I do believe people who do horrible things never stop doing them until some bashes in their knee caps.

OMG - I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm with you though, no one is going to admit seeing or taking something from your car. I can't believe people sometimes. Just when I think I can never be shocked again, I am.

Most insurance companys will cover up to $200 dollars on personal items. But they do have restrictions. Cds are one of them

My father had his car broken into and everything stolen. A few days later I was doing a story for the news on the rash of car break-ins in the area. The same guys tried it while we were all on stake-out. Needless to say, they were caught and all the stuff was in their home. I hope this makes you feel a bit better. They'll get what they deserve.

That's soo sad. I remember some years ago when I was younger that we had an accident and my dad had the car taken in for repairs and they stole my hushpuppy, cabbage patch , my paddington bear and most of my dads tools. He took them to court and won.

the same thing happened to me several years ago! it is insult to injury and I'm sorry you have to deal with it too!
my car was totalled and they ripped out the entire speaker system in my car and amps I had in the trunk I filed a police report against the shop where my car was being stored at.

I know how you feel. What is wrong with people!!!!
DH was leaving for work this morning and came back in the house and told me not to rush for work. WHY? Someone threw bricks threw all 3 of our cars driver side windows. They didnt steal anything out of the cars but there is shattered glass everywhere. I guess the blessing is that nothing was stolen or seriously damaged. I feel like I'm in the movie Scrooge. And I wont let this dampen my holiday cheer!!!
