What am I going to do? My FH keeps ADDING to our list!
Mu mom is going to kill me - my FH keeps adding people to our list. We're up to 225 invitees and he wants to add TEN more couples! We're very lucky in that our parents are splitting the costs of the wedding, but that also means we have to be respectful of their budget. If he add 10 more couples my mom will go crazy and now I feel like I'm in the middle. I keep telling him if he wants these people we'll have to pay for them - he 'yeses' me about it, but my mom is still going to be PO'd!

If he really wants to invite them and is willing to pay for them, then just give your mom a heads up and tell him no more.

I agree with Scoop. Also, is there anyway you can convince him to wait a a few weeks to see if any 'no's' come back. Oh yeah.... send out the people you think might not come first. This way you can add earlier.

Wow, my fh did the same thing, finally I told him the hall will run out of room! Tell him that even though parents are splitting $$, that these additional should be his responsibility.

I would make an A list and B list! He's gotto prefer some over others

make sure that your lists have even number on them...if he has less than you...its only fair that he can add...if he has more...tell him it is not fair that he adds even more

FH is still doing that, and our RESPONSE DATE is this Friday!!!!
I told him 'no more' and he still said to me yesterday that he wanted to invite our new neighbors (We don't even know them!!) And I told him, 'Well, now you are going to look like an a$$ because I already told you no more, and now it is too late' I think that's when it sunk in that he really couldn't ask anyone else.
