Do I really need tissue paper? My invitation lady says that there really isn't a 'functional' need for them any longer (to prevent smudging) and that now it's mostly for tradition and show. Anyone else not use tissue paper?

Your invitation lady is right. Tissue Paper was originally used to prevent smearing, but that no longer applies with today's technology in printing. But, as tradition some people still use it. I'm not - my invitations were custom made and have a different layout (vellum paper w/seal instead of inner envelpe).

I bought stamps but in DH's initial...didn't think about it...maybe it should have been my initial? I don't know...i didn't put them on

Sounds good! I think you got everything. You can get cheap seals at party stores like 'Party City'.
