Actually overall they aregreat. I dont really have any complaints. They are so giving & always trying to help. Same with my fam. LOVE EM!

Wish they were more involved. Not just with the wedding planning but in general. FH lives in VA and the last time his dad went there to visit him was Feb. 07. His mom tries to go when she can which is few times a year. But she only stops to see him to break up her trip to her other home in TN. So when she sees FH it's only for 1 day on her way to TN and 1 day on the way back. And as far as the wedding planning goes.... FMIL was not involved with FH's brother OR sister's weddings at all so I was told not to expect much from her. His dad and stepmom treat us like guests, not family when we go there. Even when FH was living with them, he felt like a guest. And not that I am trying to sound selfish but friends gave more than what his dad gave us for our engagement.

But the in-laws are nice people and I have no problems getting along with them.

Well, my FMIL is just always arguing with people and sometimes, the things that come out of her mouth just makes you go 'are you kidding me????' She always has to be mad at someone and it really annoys me.

nothing. i often like spending holidays with them better than with my own extended family bc they're generally a sweeter, warmer group of people.

in fact, FMIL volunteered (out of the blue) to hand over a check to contribute to my dress bc she knows my mom doesn't have money to buy it for me and she doesn't want me to have to compromise on the dress. i was floored. of course they're not perfect, but honestly, i couldn't ask for a better set of ILs.

i have no compalints. I'm lucky to have the future inlaws that I will have.
they don't bother us, they don't but into our business and they treat me like one of their daughters.

they are pretty good future in laws But FH is an only child so at times they can be a little controlling
and needy, but for the most part I am lucky

I have to say..they are pretty amazing people. They have helped us in everyway they could throughout the years I have been with FH. They have lent us money when we were having hard times, they helped us move this past weekend and they are taking us on a cruise next month.

However, there are some things that annoy me sometimes about FMIL, but its just normal issues that I have with my own mother. Sometimes she can ask too many questions (not a big deal, I just get annoyed easily) or she can be a little negative on things at times. She also is the pickiest person ever about food and its sort of annoying when we are out at a restaurant or on vacation. But honestly, these things are not even that bad, so I am really lucky!!!!

I don't have a single bad word to say about FFIL.

That FFIL wanted his son to have a church wedding (I'm jewish)!!

That FMIL all of a sudden starting acting like she could say anything to me - rude or not! I spoke to FH about this and it stopped right away!

THEY ARE CHEAP! And they have no filter they just say whatever they want whenever they want and they don't consider anyone else's feelings. Oh also, the majority of them are stuck in the '80s haha, as you can tell there is a lot that bothers me!!

Oh boy...

My FMIL - highly dramatic and sometimes acts very childish, ex subtstance abuser who seems to only date substance abusers. She's in a good place, but I worry about potential mates for her and our future children.

My FFIL - all he ever does is lecture FH and tell FH how he cannot succeed in any of the things he wants to do and he can NEVER say my name right, or even the right name.

My FBIL - acts like he has a chip on his shoulder so the whole world owes him everything. He cannot be bothered to ever help anyone.

My FSIL - hmm...nothing really. She's really great!

I think the only thing that annoys me is that they are divorced. Its difficult to plan family gatherings without hurting someones feelings or leaving someone out. They are very civil and can be in each others company but I would hate to ever put them in an awkward situation. Other than that, I really love them both and can't wait to be their daughter-in-law.
