What? Another Money Post!?

Ugh so to be short... Today FH failed a really important test that he needs for his job by ONE question... problem is, he failed this same test 30 days ago for ONE question. And now he can't test again for another 30 days.

We had a big fight this weekend over him studying for this thing that I didn't share with you girls... pretty much I told him I didn't think he was doing enough to study and he took that as me saying he's not doing enough to support our 'family.' So i went to my parents for the weekend so he could have time to study.

So how does this relate to money?

Welllllll there are certain aspects of his job as a financial advisor that he can't do without this certification, mainly the ones that bring in all his money! Money we were planning to have for the wedding.

Pretty much, I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get married this may because I'll be deployed, but as it stands right now, if I'm not deployed, we won't have money to cover what we need.

My mom said she has enough money for me, but that would turn it into 'HER' wedding (yes... it will, trust me). And I want the freedom to do what I want...

So I may end up being a '13 bride.. which is not what I want. Let's all cross our fingers and say late fall will work out!

I am sooo sorry you are going through this- things may still work out keep your chin up. Maybe you can save $ on some things & still have the wedding this year.

I'm so sorry your going through this. Is he planning on taking the test in another 30 days? I just told my Mom to keep her money for the same reason. I hate relying on other people when it comes to money because I'm with you, it's OUR wedding, not theirs.


Fh's boss owes him almost $20 grand in overtime and his Saturday's and he claims he's going to see that money in December. I'll pray that it works out for the both of us.

He was devastated when he came home last night, and I tried to be positive but he cannot believe he failed again, he has no idea what else he has to do to pass this next time. Plus he feels like a loser at work, this creates soooo many problems, ugh.


Anyway, I appreciate it. Everyone has money problems, and I knew our budget was tight but he kept assuring me that this would all work out and now it didn't. We had used almost all of our wedding savings in buying a new car and then moving across the country, etc etc. We still have time, BUT.....

Refocusing... staying positive :)
