the best places to register in terms of return policy, getting $$ back not store credit. I wanted to register at
1) BBB 2) Crate & Barrel 3) Bloomies 4) CB2
what experiences have you had?

BBB has said they were chaning their policy about returns...
i know some locations are hit or miss with getting the $$ back...
I dont know about any of the other stores

i recently returned something off my registry at BBB and they would only give me store credit.. HTH!

I think BBB is the only one that offers cash back on registry returns, but like pp said, that is hit or miss as they are in the process of changing the policy.
HOWEVER, I still think they are the best as they will take things back for years, no questions asked. My sister got married in 2007 and they gave her full-price credit for an item bought 3 years ago!!

most BBB stores will now only give you credit back, not money. Actually, most stores that have a bridal registry are now only giving back credit and not $ anymore

6 months ago i went to the BBB to return somthing from my reg and they did begrudgingly give me $ but did tell me the policy would be changing....

I think BBB is the best because you can use other coupons from other stores there, you can use their expired coupons, and you can purchase something and if you dont have a coupon on you but have it at home, you can bring in your coupon and they will refund you the money! The only downside about registering at BBB which is a problem I am having is they are often discontinuing their products so if you have a long engagement then you might not want to consider them or just hold off on regsitering for the time being. HTH !

If you think BBB is bad with discountinuing things I would stay away from Macys!! lol they are the worst.. I have fun checking it and updating it though so it doesn't bother me much but yea, both stores are pretty bad with discontinuing items
