What are day after photo's?

Hey ladies.

When I first joined the board a girl posted her day after photo's.

They were BEAUTIFUL, but she looked mad, angry and pissed off. In fact in one of them she was crying. It almost looked like it was staged in a way that the couple hated eachother.

So I am asking what are they and what is the concept behind them.

And I want to be clear that im just asking, not making any comment or infrence as to them being bad or that I dont like them. I dont want this post to come across as anything but an honest question with no bad intentions.

they are pictures that are taken after the wedding of just the bride and groom

they can be done for a number of reasons:

- not enough time to take pics alone at the wedding
- anniversary gift
- just to have them

and they can be shot by any photg, displaying any emotion that the bride and groom want.

there is also a trash the dress shoot, where the bride wears her dress and goes to the beach (for example) and just plays around in her wedding dress.

It sounds like the photos you saw were more the trash the dress type. I've seen some great ones on the beach or in central park where girls really get covered in mud -- looks amazing!

I'm probably going to resell or give away / donate my dress after the wedding so i won't be doing that.

its when i come out of the hotel wearin his tux and hes wearing my dress....what can i say..it was a wild night

It sounds like the photos you saw were more the trash the dress type. I've seen some great ones on the beach or in central park where girls really get covered in mud -- looks amazing!

EDT to add: I would love to do this because we are getting married at the RH and probably wont have time to take all the pics of us that I want too

A lot of people also do them when they couldn't do outdoor pics due to rain. This is the number one reason I've heard that people do them.

ETA: When I first came on here I asked the same question! I didn't get it!!
