I believe its based in thailand (not exactly sure its a .tk address) so its not subject to the US laws (as of yet) and it doesn't install spyware!!! big plus in my book
ETS: most of the viruses that you would get are in the move files...you don't have much to worry about with .mp3 files
be careful with morpheus...it installs spyware onto your computer...and IMHO its not worth the agita

I am confused...didn't quite a few people not that long ago get arrested and had to pay huge fines for using those sites? That had tracked them down, including a 12 year old girl! She got I believe a $10,000 fine. I use to download all the time and I have been so scared since I read that in the newspaper.

I believe they were going after the major offenders....if you had at least 1000+ files....(I believe)
they only targeted people who were sharing (uploading) their songs...not downloading
now that does not mean that they will not come after downloaders...but the only way they can see is if you link your shared music file...so if you don't so that - you should be fine

Yep.. 1000 and more.. hence I've had to move files. I have just over 900 plus files.
