I read:

Something Borrowed & Something Blue both by Emily Griffin.

They are fast fun reads and still keeps you in wedding mode!

If you want something more complex try The Lost Symbol, Dan Browns new book.

Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster and Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger.

And the Something Borrowed, Something Blue are by Emily Giffin. I could never find them since I was looking in the wrong spot. LOL! She also wrote Baby Proof which was good and Love the One You're With which I'm reading now.

Good question - I have been downloading stuff to my Kindle. I agree re: the Emily Giffin books. I have actually read everything on the list so far, except Dan Brown, but I downloaded it.

Jane Green is good for beach reades, same for Sophie Kinsella.

Mary Higgins Clark is good for mysteries. Her daughter Carol Higgins Clark also writes mysteries, but hers are much fluffier/lighter.

I also like Harlan Coben and Patricia Cornwell

I read The Glass Castle on the honeymoon, it was sooo good. It is not chic lit though. If you want something light I would also recommend Something Borrowed & Something Blue...I loved both of those books.

I was also coming to this thread to suggest Emily Giffin and all of her books ... so ... I guess I don't have to now?

Well, not surprisingly from me haha, but the Twilight series is so addicting...I also love the Bridget Jones books.

Another idea - Nelson Demille. Get the Gold Coast and the Gate House and read them back to back - in that order. SO good.
