What are some 'must dos' in Disney World???

Original post by Cacarina

FH and I are planning a 4 night trip down to Disney World in March. Neither of us have been there since we were like 5 years old, so we are so excited. What are some things that we have to do? We are looking for more adult oriented stuff, although we might check out the Disney theme park one day. Any suggestions on things to do, where to eat, etc???

Thanks girls!!!

Here are my Disney faves:

Magic Kingdom-
Phillarmagic (its a 3D show)
Splash Mountain
Dinner @ Cinderella's Castle if you can!
Wishes (Fireworks)

Animal Kingdom-
MOUNT EVEREST!
Killamonjari Safari Ride (It is literally a safari ride- & you get really close to the animals. I suggest you do this first thing in the morning when the park opens, before the animals get too hot & go to sleep)
The Lion King show
Dinosaur

Epcot-
Pretty much everything...
Soaring
Test Track
World Showcase- They have a Beatles shop in the UK now! I also suggest Le Chef de France for dining- PHENOMINAL!

MGM-
Tower of Terror
Rock'nRollercoaster
Great Movie Ride
Toy Story (I suggest a fast pass for this one)
The Stunt Show
Muppets 3D

More Dining suggestions- Ohana in the Polynesian resort is awesome (in fact- If you can, I would take a whole day to spend at the Polynessian. You can see the castle from the pool area, & all you need to do is hop on the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom or Epcot), Wolfgang Pucks in Downtown Disney, Grand Floridian Cafe in the Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney's Boardwalk has a lot of nightlife, Downtown Disney for shopping. There's also some golf courses around the resorts (mini included) & the water parks.

Disney is really a fun place! Have a great time!

I live in Orlando so have been there a ton and used to go to Disney a lot for my last job. I would say dinner at California Grill at night for sure....Watch the fireworks from the Polynesian beach (if not in front of the castle)......drink around the world........and do anything at the Grand Floridian!

You have to ride TEST TRACK in Epcot (get a fast pass) and if you get a chance to go to Universal and ride THE MUMMY

Drink around the world in Epcot!!

So much fun.. go to the countries start on one side and have a drink in each country and you check them all out. The best is to go in the afternoon to start and finish just as the fireworks so is about to begin.

have fun!

Definitely definitely do this! I have so many hysterical pictures from drinking around the world at Epcot!

And go to Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom for breakfast. You'll love it, it's so adorable!

We haven't really started planning too much yet. We are staying at the Marriott Grande Vista. Would you recommend a car? I have no idea how else we would get around...lol. I know nothing!!!

If you can, I would recommend renting a car. There is so much to do here and some of the stuff involves driving. A lot of the hotels have shuttles, but its kind of a pain.

There's a great place to eat in the Animal Kingdom Lodge- Jiko! It's a little expensive, but the food is amazing!!!!

You MUST ride the Tower of Terror! It is my absolute all time favorite roller coaster ride. I've been on scarier, but this was by far the most fun one I'd ever been on!!! I heart Disney. We're also going their for the 1st week of our honeymoon so enjoy!!!

Here's a cool way to watch the fireworks without paying to get into the park:

Go to the Polynesian hotel an hour or two before the fireworks are scheduled to start at Magic Kingdom. Walk around, check out the awesome lobby, grab a drink at the bar, maybe even eat (the restaurants there are great!) and then walk out to the beach before the fireworks are set to begin. Grab a spot on the beach where you can see the top of the castle. When the show starts, they play the music right there on the beach and you can sit and watch them privately without all the crowds. It's really romantic!

AND if you're going to Animal Kingdom, don't miss Everest... what a fun ride!!
