Well, I just threw my sister's bridal shower last Saturday and we had it at a Mexican Restaurant. It was a Mexican Fiesta theme and was a lot of fun. We used a sombrero to make her gift bow hat, I had mini pinatas for the centerpieces and added sangria as part of the Mexican fare menu. A cash bar was available and people took advantage of ordering Margaritas, etc.
My sister's must have was a photo montage on video. I created it myself... a huge task.... but she & the guests loved it!
As for my must have.... hmmmm... well in the gift department my Kitchen Aide Mixer is a must have!
You could do all sorts of cutsie stuff with the outdoor BBQ... like an Americana theme, or a South Western theme... ?

Oooh, you could do a Hawiian theme - or some other tropical island (maybe where they are going on their honeymoon?) You can have palm trees, lays (the flower things that go around your neck), and frozen drinks. You could also do a pig roast - that's very Hawiian.

I know it sounds stupid, but my must have is my friends!!!! Because at my baby shower an ex-friend who was in charge of inviting friends, didn't. And not one was at my shower. So I just really want to walk in and see my friends and family. I know I'm silly!
