that you're letting your FH 'have'? (Disclaimer... those are not my words.. but another girls words.)
My FBIL's girlfriend (who is having some SERIOUS jealousy issues) is SHOCKED that I am 'giving' my FH the rehearsal dinner at Applebees. (Her words not mine...)
Yes. I know its unconventional but honestly... the man is giving me the wedding I want and is just saying 'whatever Katie wants'. The man has intentions of BUILDING me a house that I want.
Applebees is his favorite place to eat (the man love boneless wings) and we can rent out the room thats in the back in the Deer Park one.
Its just food IMO. Its just a different place to celebrate. And honestly... its just not a fight that needs to be had. He's compromised with me on SO much so I can compromise with him on this.
Anyone else 'giving' your FH certain (possibly ridiculous) things that he wants to the wedding?

I totally hear you on this! FH is pretty much just going with the flow and agreeing to whatever makes me happy (although, he was more sold on our venue than I was at first!). What he really wants is to pick out the cake flavor lol...FH really isn't that into sweets/cake (lucky him!) so he wants to have a cake he'll actually enjoy. Luckily he likes red velvet. While that's not my first choice, it's definitely a good choice! There are also little decor things he likes here and there so he can pick out most of that also. Afte all, it's his wedding too and I want him to feel like he has some personal touches in there also! Our FHs are so good! haha

All the Batman stuff! Lol. Katie, you'll get to see it - but you know us so you understand it. FH has been obsessed with Batman since he was a kid (he has said his best moment in his life so far was when he got to actually BE in The Dark Knight Rises), and he wanted touches of it through out the wedding. We have character names as table numbers, the bat symbol on the floor in lights instead of having a monogram, and we are coming into the 1989 Batman theme song.
Exactly. I've seen his Batman shrine. I know how much he loves it!! I think its gonna be awesome!

Was ur FH an extra in the football scene at Heinz field?? Me and my FH were extras in the movie as well! He is obsessed too!
My FH hasn't really requested anything yet. He just wants everything to be classy, nothing out of the ordinary. A lot of times he'll have ideas and I end up agreeing that it's the best option anyway. We'll see what happens as we get down to the smaller stuff!
Personally, I think an Applebee's rehearsal dinner is amazing. Their boneless wings ARE good!

No, but the teacher I work with, her two sons were in that scene. FH was actually a cop in the big fight scene. When all the cops are running towards the bad guys he is second in line all the way on the bottom of the screen. He's on screen for probably 10 seconds all together - there's a very clear shot of him going across the screen.

FH is in charge of the music. He will go more classic and traditional than I would, but he is the music lover, so it's all him.

FH wanted the RR Phantom. It definitely set us over our budget, but seeing how excited he is definitely makes it worth it!

My FH wants a Fudgie the Whale cake, but when I explained to him that I don't think we could get a tiered one, and the logistics of having an ice cream wedding cake, I didn't tell him that I'm planning to have one made for our rehearsal dinner to surprise him.
From what I can tell, most grooms just want their future wife to be happy with everything (worst idea ever to start the marriage by pissing her off about the wedding LOL), so if they want something, and it isn't huge, I don't see why he shouldn't get it.

my FH hasn't said much yet but we didn't do a TON of planning where he can weigh in.
so what if its at applebees? its a rehearsal dinner for a reason... and its nice & low key. great way to relax before your big day !

That is sweet. I really think that there is so much stigma about what we should or shouldn't be doing, what is classic and crazy and I truly believe that this time is for us and our FH. It is about US, our love, our likes so do whatever YOU want!

My FH wants skull cufflinks and a zombie groom's cake lol. Otherwise he goes with the flow and helps me pick out things. He says as long as I am happy then he is happy!
