We were really excited about the Nerds until we realized they weren't in our budget range. I would prefer a female singer and my fiance would like a band that can handle some classic rock and not be 'just another cheesy wedding band.' What are the best bands you've heard at weddings, what kind of music do they play, and how much do they charge? Thanks!

We're using the Original Faze 4. They're very well known and respected . . . and they sound awesome. We're really excited to have them! They're not a 'budget' band but they're excellent. You can google them and call them for pricing. They also have more affordable bands in their company who you can book.

We're using Code Bleu. We booked them on the spot as we thought they were awesome. They have one female, but you have the option of using a second as well (we got the second one also). They can play a whole slew of music, which was big for us b/c FH is a big rock fan too. We plan to walk into AC/DC for our entrance, and have no doubt that Code Bleu can pull it off

FYI, the Nerds are around $10,000. Just for reference. And please, it will help us out a lot and save a ton of time if you can make references to how much they typically charge per wedding. Thanks!

Just as an aside, I went to college in NJ and 'grew up' on the nerds.
Its too bad you wont be able to use them, but I know you will find something in your price range.

FH and I saw a ton of bands live and finally booked Soul Revival as soon as we saw them play. They sounded awesome live and we loved their singers, one guy/one girl. I will send you an FM with prices
