FOCCUS is not a requirement in all churches - we didn't take it.

My FH is Episcopal and I'm Catholic. We're getting married in a Catholic church. My church had us sign a 'permission slip' to be approved by the diocese for our 'interfaith' marraige.

Every church is a little different. The least most of them require is baptismal certificate (or permission slip for interfaith for the non-Catholic partner), donation and marriage license... and pre-cana... but some churches require more. It depends on what your particular church says they need. I didn't need to do the FOCCUS thing either.

I asked my church about the permission slip...thanks!

My church required both of us to have all three of Sacraments- Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. FH had to take classes every Monday for months and just had his 1st Communion and Confirmation last Saturday.
