What are you and FH similarities? Differences?

Inspired by my Rabbi, who when asked, we just didn't really know what to answer. We have to think about it.

What are your Differences?

Similarities?

Similar: both blonde haired and blue eyed (we get the 'you look like brother and sister' comment a lot, which is always fantastic). Besides the physical attributes, we're actually VERY similar in values and sense of humor. I'm more extroverted than he is, but he's gotten more social since we've been together. I've gotten more rational being with him since he's very logical. Either it's from being with him or going to law school--not sure which one Oh, and we're both lawyers too.

Different: I'm always right, he's always wrong

Differences: He can be very naive when it comes to other people and I am way too cynical. He really believes that no one would ever do anything wrong or back stab him, whereas I am always suspicious. Its a very neat difference. And then of course our interests, his love in all 'man' sports, my love of reading and writing.

Similarities: our values are identical; our commitment to our families; our desire to contribute something to the world beyond just being here; its funny, neither of us are very....how do you say? ambitious? We both WANT to rule the world, but we're not willing to do 'whatever' it takes. We really value time and having a balance between home and work. So thats been nice too. Its a good question!

Our similarities are : Our love of animals especially cats, our love for our families (especially mine since day one he has been like the big brothers my little sister always needed) We both have a shared sense of humor, We have interests in the same things... I am an EMT and he always wanted to become one...and he loves to fish and I always wanted to get into it.

Our differences: I am loud and have a text book type A personality. He is very laid back and quiet. He is also a neat freak and I am the once a week cleaner as he puts it

I guess their are more to go in both categories I just can't think of any right now.... I seem to have hit the wall of thought!!

He- Mellow, Saver
Me- Hyper, Spender


ETA: Since we have been together I have calmed down on my spending and he has chilled when I do spend and knows not to ask how much my beauty supplies cost.

Great question

Similarities: We generally share a similar worldview, most values, general political views, senses of humor are similar, feel strongly about family, work ethics, similar interest in some sports (golf, tennis....) And, luckily, we both love each other!

Differences: He is WAY more calm, laid-back, and patient than I am. I tend to worry about everything more than he does, he comes from a very traditional family, I'm from a more non-traditional/progressive one, religious beliefs differ, and I don't like watching hours of baseball or football on tv. He doesn't like hours of 'the bachelorette' or 'real weddings.'

The best thing is, I feel like our differences compliment each other, but we have plenty of similarities in interests and views to feel connected...

I loved this post, it made me think. I sent it to FH but he said it sounds like homework!

Similarities: Both Jewish and grew up in Nassau County; huge Seinfeld and Wings fans, he's a huge Jets fan and so is my family, we both have the same views on marriage and life and want the same things out of both, we were both at the Foreigner concert at Westbury Music Fair a few years ago but we had not met yet; we both are homebodies at heart; we both love cats (he loves all animals), finally, we are both short! (I like to say petite)

Difference: I love to read, he rarely reads. He loves reality TV, I tolerate it, I tend to take things more seriously than him (he's teaching me to lighten up); he would take a nap every chance he gets, I never take naps (and even if I did I never have time!) I wake up and hit the ground running going a million miles an hour, he takes a slower pace shall we say

Me & my family: Democrat
FH & his family: Republican
We don't discuss politics when we're all together.

We both love animals, and think you should rescue rather than breed or buy from a breeder.

I'm always cold, FH is always hot.

I'm 5' and FH is 6' and more than twice my weight.

ME: a bit anal, overly organized, anxiety-prone
- very petite! very thick hair!

HIM: laid back, not so organized, much less stressed. - very tall! very thin hair!


Me/him: love reality tv, love sushi, love florida, love champagne, love going out but coming home at a reasonable hour, even if it's BEFORE everyone else.

Similar: We are both stubborn as he!!

Differences: hmmmm hard one????
I love him to death but he is a little selfish and i am more of a giver. which is okay with me sometimes but not all the time belive me!

Similar- We are both very generous people...we enjoy going the same places..

DIFFERENCES-He is laid back...I am so damn high strung!
