i want to do something different ... i dont want to do the traditional card on the table. i am having a garden themed wedding, afternoon, at the westbury manor ... any ideas?

I am having a spring theme. I am using wheat grass and having my place cards in small envelopes on pics. The pics will be in the wheat grass and in the envelope is a card I made that says watch our love grow and directions to plant the seeded paper inside. Also on both sides of wheat grass will be pink watering cans with pink and white tulips. The candles all around will be flower pot candles (Very small ones). It is going to come out so cute. I am definently going to take pics of it and will upload them for you to see.
Where did you get the mini envelopes? Thanks!
I have to look at my box of stuff and check where. I did a search of place card envelopes and picked the cheaper ones. I will let you know.

I'm just using the ones that are supplied by my RH....possibly might get them done if I order some thank you cards supposedly, but not sure if I'm going to go that route yet. Either way, not doing anything cutesy, I'm already SO over budget with extras.

i was just going to suggest this... i think it'll look adorable with flowers all around the grass...

the picture won't attach for some reason but i saw apples with little brown construction paper leaves as place cards at another wedding and it was really cute

We are just using ecru place cards, but having our calligrapher write the names in black ink and then add flourishes in our green and purple colors along the sides of each place card. I LOVE the wheatgrass idea!! DO IT!!!

what about something like this and you can put the table # in as like a little flower in the can or something???
O wow, I did an outdoor garden theme also for my wedding! It's really beautiful, you'll have such an amazing day. My talented SIL did roses fashioned out of tissue paper for the placecards. Or you can use gerbera daises in bright & bold colors with tags of your guests names. Or for something really creative, use mini-pots of planted flowers with the guest names which can double as wedding favors! Same with flower seed packets or sunflower seeds(it's edible and appropriate for warm weather weddings). Congrats! Best wedding wishes to the both of you!!!

this may not go with your theme but this what I did
