What are you doing with your bouquet after the wedding?
My future sister-in-law dried out her flowers and put them in a picture frame. This was done professionally and it came out great. She has it hung-up in her living room. However, she is not from NY and I 'm wondering if anyone knows of a place in NY, LI or Queens who does this or if you have other ideas. Thanks!

There are lots of places that preserve flowers. Many of them require that you overnight mail the bouquet to them the next business day after the wedding. My sister will dry my flowers for me and I will keep the dried flowers in a vase on our table.

I had mine freeze dried and framed. I should actaully be getting the finished product this week! The place who is doing it was recommended to me by Spitz & Peck. Here's their web site:
www.forever-in-bloom.com
The only problem is that they are located in Mt. Kisco, NY - about an hour from LI. I was able to do it because I'm originally from that area and a friend was able to take my bouquet home and deliver them to the store the next day. They DO have a bouquet pick up service though for a fee.

Sara, thanks for the site, I think I will be contacting them. From the pix on their site the bo-ks seem to hold up well and still look very nice. I want to definitely preserve mine

Cira -
My flowers were beautiful. The bouquets were amazing & so were the centerpieces. HOWEVER.... we were dissappointed with a few things:
they charged us extra for a 'hotel style' arrangement for lobby where the seating cards were. They could have just used the flowers from our centerpiece stand and just transfer them into the reception hall during coctail hour, but I didn't want to do that and so I paid the extra $. WELL... the arrangement was horrible - it wasn't even big. I didn't notice it at all though until I watched my video and at that point I just didnt feel like complaining.
The other 2 things were that they didn't do our bride/groom table very well and we also dedicated flowers to our grandparents and paid $50 for each bouquet for them and they fogot to put them in water and they were completely dead by the time we presented them. It was kinda emarrassing....
Other than that though, i was pleased. Just watch out for those things if you are having them.
How are you holding up????

Re: Sara
I'm holding up pretty well - not nervous yet and I'm surprised about that. My one hangup and everyone knows, is the weather - I'm praying for a good day! Thanks for the tips for Spitz and Peck - we opted not to get a centerpiece for the place-cards, I'm leaving them with just the place-cards and petals thrown on top. I am dedicating my bouquet (well two bouquets) to my grandma and mom and I will make sure they put the flowers in tubes. I already requested that the flowers that we are dedicating during the ceremony be in tubes! Which one did you use? We are using the one in Cedarhurst and Gary has been great! I will keep your advice on hand when I call! Thanks!
How are things besides? How's married life? Is your husband (I was just about to write FH ) okay, with your father-in-law passing away!
