What are you doing with your pets?

Murphy (my doggie) will have to be boarded at a kennel for the day of the wedding. At times like this I wish he was a cat... but everyone who I trust enough to take care of him will be at the wedding.

What are other people doing?

We have 2 cats...but my parents will babysit for them while we are on our HM.

Same here .. my parents are going to take care of Mia (star of my avatar) while we are on our HM. She's too needy and NOT your typical independent cat .. she'll need a lot of company since we'll be gone for 10 days!

My cat is going to stay at the apatment and my FH's parents are going to look after her when we are gone on our 2 week honeymoon. I feel so guilty leaving her for so long:( She doesn't like to be alone.

And if anyone needs a pet-sitter, I will be more than happy to do it--I love animals!!

My wedding doesnt begin until 3 so Casey (my Dalmatian) will be home...Shes well trained so I have no doubt she will be fine until my parents get home around 1am! There is some time between teh church and the hall so someone can stop home if they want. Or we can always get the neighbor to just come and let her out that night but I dont think ti will be necessary.

foruntatlye he lived in the same town as the couple & their church, but he didn't ride in the limo with us.

I dont think anyone will stop at home but its an option if tehy want! I am actually not overly concerned because there have been times we have left my dog from like 9 am until midnight and she's fine! Shes a really good dog and older! It messes up her schedule but what can you do! She would be tramatized if we left her in a kennel!!

The night of the wedding we're staying at the Wyndham Wind Watch. We have my brother's nanny coming to watch my god-daughter and I'm hoping to ask her to watch Meri too. Then my parents will have her at night b/c they're staying at the hotel as well.

We're going to have to put our pup in a kennel too! We have to go away in March, so hopefully it will be a good trial run for him. I am going to hate doing it, but my parents can't watch him and his parents just got a puppy also, and the two of them have so much energy together, that it wouldn't be fair....

I don't know where you are located
but I did find a lady in E. Meadow who boards dogs in her home...very nice lady - I am trying her out next week while I am in Florida...
FM me is anyone would like her #

For some readon I think she does cats too but not too sure...

Don't laugh but we actually have a cat sitter! My FH and I travel alot and don't have family nearby so that was our only option.

I think we're going to have to put Tasha in a kennel for the day because we'll be spending the night in a hotel. I was also thinking about asking my parents neighbor to dog-sit for the day, but that may be asking a bit much. Tasha is a husky and she's pretty hyper! lol! My parents will be watching her for the 2 weeks we're on the HM.

We are getting married at our village park and our three dogs are going to be part of the ceremony (in case of inclement weather, we are having a tent put up in our front yard - these pups are our children and we cannot imagine getting married without them there). Our dog sitter will be on hand to help out during the ceremony and will take care of them that evening. My mom is stayning a couple of days after so they are not all alone for the entire honeymoon. When she goes home, our sitter will come three times a day as she usually does when we vacation.

Here's Hershey in her wedding collar. I still need to get bowties for Bailey & Max.

FYI - check out Malibu Pet Hotel in Freeport. Never used them but recommended to a friend at work and they were pleased. It seems pretty cool from their website.

I am going to put down the usual cans for my 2 cats- Tiffany and Icarus, the next day we will stop by in the am and put down extra cans for 2 days and extra water. We are going on a mini moon, fh is a techer and we will be on our honeymoon in July, then I am going to have my sister come every other day and put down new cans of food, and I am going to buy automatic feeders and automatic waterers for the time we are gone, and I will also keep the air conditoner on so it goes on intermittently. It is so hard to leave them!! I really do not want to kennel them, the vet advised me cats do better when they are at home and somone familiar is taking care of them.
