what are you having pelted at you after the cerimony?

bird seed, flowers, bricks?
Any fresh ideas?

My church said no rice, no flower petals...

Maybe bubbles? Birdseed?

I love some of these ideas, especially the confetti.
Unfortunately...

My hall (ceremony is there) has only given me bird seed as an option, and only if we do it outside. So I am wondering if there is some other food type iteam, or i could just ignore their requests.

I would have to say I like the money idea!

having flower petals pelted at us was a great option since we didn't feel it!

If you go the money route, try for bills, the change might bounce off you and little kids will pick it all up!

hahaah pelted. hehee

we're throwing (ha!) around the idea of a herbal toss. like mixed lavendar and other such herbs. I hope our place will let us do that. They said that they usually only let people blow bubbles but I refuse to have that!

awww I love this! I so wish we had booked a winter wedding :( FH didn't want one though, so we compromised on Spring.

I love the snow idea. That is so cute. Unforunatly won't work for me.

Also like the lavander idea, though now after other peoples comments I am worried about getting it in my hair, ect...

One idea I read, though costly, it is time saving also. Hand out daisies with the programs and at the end of the ceremony they through the whole daisy at your feet while you are walking back down the isle. Not a hard clean up you would think.

would it really be that costly? I thought daisy's were relatively inexpensive and they come in bunches, which could have lots of actual daisy flowers on it. I could be wrong.

I'm not that keen on the stuff being in my hair, but I figure it's just one time in our lives and most people do look to throw something, so we wanted to do something.

I've been to weddings where the guests through rose petals, but they just sorta went up in the air...they didn't actually go forward and toward the couple...so in effect, the guests were showering themselves with rose petals.
