and the great thing is it doesn't matter if you chose daisies or roses, its all the same price. and they only needed a $50 deposit to hold the date. at least get a quote from them. they dont advertise and are by refferals only-appointments needed.

check my review for pics, price, and contact info for my flower vendor-flowers by gilda. she works from out of her home, so her prices are great.

I haven't booked my florist yet, but I just met with Jennifer over at Verbena Designs - she is a sweetheart!!!! And, more importantly, she will work in your budget! We met with her and went over everything and the original quote was too much for us and she worked on it 'til she got down to our budget!

My bouquet is calla lily, safari sunset and ivy, 4 BM's will have gerbera daisy and thistle and something else, 2 calla lily bouts, GM's bouts are thistle, 2 lily corsages, 4 rose corsages, some bundles of wheat for decoration, maybe haystalks etc., about $650. Subject to some changes. Main Street Florist in Center Moriches. They were just at the Atlantis showcase.

What kind of quote did you get?

We're getting our flowers from sugar magnolias (not known to be inexpensive, so use this as your guide of mid-level price quotes)

All flowers are a mix of ivory roses, green hydangea, lady's mantle, eucalyptus unless stated otherwise:
18 green hydrangea pew decorations with ribbons
8 low centerpieces in antique buckets
1 ladies room centerpiece
my bo-k (a peony nosegay) ($125)
2 BM mixed flower nosegays ($85 each)
6 rose boutenieres
3 corsages

also inlcuded is set up of several dozen votives and spreading shells and stones around...

$1585

I booked john from flower michelle and i thought he gave me a really good price and besides that, i've seen the work that he has done for other brides and I LOVED what he has done for them.

He quoted me $2200 for:
my bridal bo-k: lavender roses, mini callas, and stephanotis with pearls
Bridal throw bo-k (free)
MOH bo-k: same as mine except the stephanotis and a bit smaller
5 BM bo-k's: white roses
1 FG basket with white and purple roses
10 mini calla lilly bouts (Groom's bout with stephanotis)
6 coursages
20 table centerpieces with martini glass filled with hydrangea and roses with votive candles and rose petals
2 small martini glass set-ups as above for the sweetheart table (free)

I am using Flowers By Brian and if you ask me, I think they are a little pricey but am not really sure. I booked them b/c FH's mom is paying for the flowers and she knew someone who has a friend who works there.

Anyway, this is what i am getting:

My bouquet: mini calla lilies, stephanotis with pearls, roses and crystal sprays
1 bok to toss
1 MOH bouquet: all roses but will be larger than bm's
5 bms bouquets: all roses
Bout for groom - calla lily with stephanotis
6 bouts for groomsmen - roses
2 nosegay clutches for MOB & MOG - all calla lilies
2 fathers: bouts - roses
1 grandmother: corsage
1 grandfather - boutineer rose
Centerpieces will consist of the following: 15 centerpieces filled with 15 calla lilies each, curly willow and white dendrobium tied to the curly willow branches with 4 votive hanging candles.

chuch flowers:

flowers for blessed mother
2 floral arrangements with all different white flowers.

My total is approximately $3,900. I can't believe we are spending this much on flowers but the calla lilies are very pricey and that is waht is raising my cost.

HTH..

ETA: I forgot we are having a ringbearer and flowergirl and that includes the flowergirl basket with flowers and a boutineer for the ringbearer.

I just met with flowers by burton and you and have about the same amount. They quoted me 1800. Are you not doing centerpieces?
