What are you or did you provide for your OOT guests?
Just curious if there is anything you 'have to' provide or just want to provide for them? I saw one gal made baskets, but what do you put in them? Not sure on this one.
Thanks in advance!

Re: What are you or did you provide for your OOT guests?
i think it is nice to have something for the OOT guests - even if it is just a bottle of water and a snack. They did travel a long way to see you get married!
I am doing a 'basket' (bag) of goodies - North Fork Potato Chips, Water, Advil, Chocolate, and some strawberries (it will be June) from local farms.
Then, becasue it is a destination wedding for so many, I am including info on all the vineyards and wineries, farms, and restaurants.
i think this can be done very affordably if you go to Costco or Sams or one of the buy-in-bulk stores.

I am not doing anything mainly because there arent many OOTers and the ones that are, I dont think I have ever met.

We gave our OOT guests a bottle of wine and an opener.

Most of my OOT guests are family who grew up on LI, but may not have been back in years - or grew up in a different area of LI. I want to do something, but I want to keep it simple. As of right now, I plan on making baskets with plenty of maps (with specific directions to points of importance, such as my house, the church, the reception hall, local malls), some chocolates, and maybe something else...

My mother keeps telling me I need to invite OOT'rs to the RH dinner to be polite. I'm still not sure if I will do this, because we have such a large BP.
I will however make a basket for the hotel for the OOT'rs (snack, water, local places, directions to and from Church, and reception hall, etc.)

I have PLENTY of these 2004 Travel Guides still left over.
This is a GREAT OOT bag idea, It contains attractions, activities, etc to do on Long Island.
We unfortunately didn't advertise as much as we thought.
This Will ONLY be available for the taking until around March!!!!
I cannot promise that the same thing will happen at the end of 2005 for the '06 brides.
So if you are willing to stash them somewhere please come get them.
THE CATCH----YOU NEED TO PICK THEM UP AT MY OFFICE IN HAUPPAUGE....
