What are you paying for Photography/videography

Hi, I'm pretty sure that I'm getting a great deal from the research I have done but also wanted to get other opinions.

Photography $7300 ++ (tax Grat)- Running sale this month, and received referral discount -

Engagement shoot at location of choice (no additional charge for travel)
3 actual photographers
Unlimited hours - (for me noon to 1:00 AM)
No limit on number of pics taken
Coffee table book size of my choice - 8x10, 10x10, 12x12
Premium Leather bind, flush page(additional charge if we want acrylic or italian bound at xost)
50 sides, 80-100 pictures - no charge if there's additional prints i want to add
Complete design control, no charge for each re design
Proofs given in 2-3 weeks, albums in 6.
All proofs in choice of 2 of 3 formats(Digital, printed pictures, bound catalog style book)
2 parent albums 20 sides ( about 30 - 50 pics)
ALl images given on DVD at time album is picked up & all copyrights at that time handed over with contract
- 1 16 x20 Print
- 6 5x7 prints
- 6 8 x10 prints
All of different poses, # of reprints & sizes can be mixed and matched
- 11 x 14 mounted and framed to 16 x20 collage print of engagement shoot brought to the receptino
- 200 wallets of an engagement shoot pose
- 100 5x7 thank yous - more if wanted no charge
- Videography - Unlimited hours - (for me noon to 1:00 AM) Unlimited copies of DVD,
-chaptered DVD, montage of highlights, movie trailer video, baby montage, pre wedding picture montage, full ceremony & reception coverage, First look coverage, & honeymoon. Usually split into 2 DVDs.


And he's great personality wise, featured in magazines....I mean I think I hit the jackpot here :)

We're using two different vendors:

MinnaFoto--lifestyle photograher (comes with Engagement Shoot, Proofs,from Prep to end,etc) $1750.00

AJ Ingoglia- Cinematography style- Unlimited Time, Unlimited # of DVD's, Wedding Recap Video, etc... $2500.00

So we're spending less than $5000.00 for both. HTH!

Who are you using?

We got a quote for $2600 for photo and video for 2 photogs and a videographer unlimited hours, all proofs, retouched, fully edited video (3 copies), all raw footage and Hal (the guy we met with) is absolutely awesome! We had a 20% off coupon from a showcase and he gave us a little more off for being in the FD. He doesnt advertise either so its all word of mouth and thats how he keeps his prices so low..

ETA: It also includes 100 thank you cards..

Are you using T and T? That package sounds very familiar to what they quoted us!

No this was from Joseph Michael Photography. The only other thing I can say is that there are no surprises here. I mean the guy is also giving us full design control of each of the albums. Alot of the other's that I have info from will only do replica parent albums and they cap you on # of prints (charge for anything over) then if you want to make more than 1 change to the pages there's a charge up to $75 a page.

I still have 2 more meetings with other photographers...but I really like this guy.

The other question I have is that I had won 2 engagement shoots from 2 separate other photogs at bridal shows. Can I still use them you think?
