Can you ladies please post what you're getting for a cake and how much it's costing you? I know there must be quite a drastic range in prices on cakes but I'm just looking for an idea. We're going to meet with our baker tomorrow and I don't want to be caught off guard when he gives us a quote.
I just want a simple one...2-3 round layers w/ real flowers for 60 people. Anyone have a very rough idea what something like this would cost???
I don't know how much it will cost (I meet with my baker on Tuesday) but I just wanted to say that that cake is beautiful! I want a similar simple style!

nothing- it came with the Watermill.. no one even ate the cake anyway!!!!

Same here! The cake is included with Swan Club. They said if I want flowers on it, to have the florist bring flowers, which I'm probably going to do...

i did that- i paid my florist to have them put red roses on the cake....

Our cake is included and my florist is throwing in the flowers for our cake. That cake is pretty!!!

I think this is how it is at most halls. If you buy from a bakery, it's usually $4 - $5 per slice, and they will make anything you want.

We actually didn't book at the Old Field Club in Setauket because they weren't giving us a cake. We are getting the cake from our hall, but I know that Alpine Bakery in Smithtown does cakes for about $400 - I m sure that would be sufficient for 60 people.
