I have heard of little things that some do as a surprise for thier fh on the wedding day...i like the idea. Anyway, are any of you planning any special surprises?

I am having a big breakfast delivered to his moms house ( where he and his gm's are getting ready) so everyone has a nice full belly before the ceremony. I am also writing him a really nice letter the day before and having his best man give it to him before they leave for the church. I wanted to get him a nice watch but someone on here said there is a superstition that its putting 'time on a relationship' so I got him tiffany & co cufflinks instead.

We are getting him McDonalds to eat...LOL!
He eats NOTHING, I swear, NOTHING...there is not one cocktail hr food ( well maybe the mozzerella sticks, but even they are 'baked' funny to him at WM) Or Dinner food the day of the wedding..he has never eaten anything like that and he never will...so my mom is going to have the waiter bring him out 4 hamburgers and fries as his meal...SHHHSHHH

I love the idea of writing him a letter to read before the ceremony. I would like the photographer to catch the expression on his face while reading it.

I'm going to sing a song to him during the reception. I'm also trying to plan a special Groom's cake for the RH.

I wanna do something special for my guy (non-material) by our wedding! This is such a sweet idea. I would love to take him to an Islander game and have the big screen say'Welcome Michael'. I think he'd LOVE that! We'll see.....I'm gonna think of some ideas.

I never heard that bout the watch. I want to get FH a watch, our wedding day is his b-day so it will be a b-day gift anyway. I am also getting him a Yankee Staduim cake, for his b-day cake at the reception.

i havent thought of his present yet.....but one of the surprises is going to be the garter....he is a huge yankee fan, but Im a Mets Fan. I told him that I am going to get the yankee garter. I prob will wear both, but the one that he is going to take off is the Mets one. He will be more than anxious to throw that away!

I have been thinking about getting a cigar roller person (I can't recall the proper title) for the reception. I know all places don't allow smoking, but FH LOVES cigars! As do some of his friends. If the price is not to much, I will do it! If it is too much, I will just get a box of his favorite cigar and give it to him at the reception.

This post was a great reminder for me today. I emailed his favorite group, and his favorite Yankee player to see if there was anything they could do to make our wedding more special. I doubt it will materialize to anything, but atleast I tried.

I'm going to make him a CD of all the love songs that make me think of him and have it delivered the day before. Making him a card and probably a gift basket. I also want to send breakfast for him and GMs. I was going to sing at reception but I don't think I'm going to.

I bought FH saphire cufflinks to wear on the wedding day and I bought him 4 pairs of really nice sunglasses for the honeymoon. Yes I know, he doesn't need 4 pairs, but I wasn't sure which he would like the best so I got them all. I can always return whatever he doesn't like. I will also be buying him a flat screen TV, but that's not a surprise.

That's cool! I wish FH had a fave band, team, etc. He has very broad taste in everything. Good Luck, hope something comes thru, that'd be great!!
