What are you putting on your reception tables...

...besides your centerpieces?

In addition to my actual flower centerpiece, I want to surround the centerpiece with some votives and possible flower petals.

I'm thinking of adding a framed picture or two of us from our engagement shoot (my best friend took the pictures and I want to honor her in some way) to the table.

I'm also thinking of adding something like the 'I Spy' game (totally copying the idea from someone on here, can't think of your name off hand. Sorry! But it looked fun!)

Thoughts? Picture(s) and games too much? I have a DIY heart and want to make our wedding personal but don't want to over do it!

We're just doing our centerpieces.. 3 vases with flowers and floating candles, votives and flower petals around it and then a picture frame that has a picture of us at a specific location. So the table will be called 'Chicago' and there will be a picture of us in Chicago. Keeping it simple.

I have the same thoughts as you! I want to make it personal but I have no idea what to do/add to everything so it's not over done. Want it to be simple.

Im doing the votive candles & flower petals also. Other than that I'm just having framed table numbers. Each one will have a verse about love from the bible under the table #.

I like your idea but it might be too much going on at the table. Maybe you can put your engagement pictures on the guest book table. I've even seen some guest books that have the engagement pics inside. I think you can make it on shutterfly. Or if you have a fireplace you can put them on the mantle.

We're doing votives and flower petals. The tables fill up quick between place settings, champagne and water glasses, food On the table, etc.

I'm thinking centerpieces and votive candles as well for the tables. We have a couple of spots at the venue to add extra pics; console table in the entry way, fire place mantle, and some bar space where I plan on adding extra touches like old family photos, and the guest book. We are planning an area for a candy table and I really want that to be the spot where we add pics of FH and I when we were kids.

I think the I Spy game is cute for like a kid's table, if you are having children at the wedding, so maybe only print it out for their table... You could probably also have less decorative things at that table so the addition of the game wouldn't be too much.
