What are your beliefs...

about after life? Do you believe in Heaven, and do you believe that those who have passed can see/hear you???

What made me think of this is a song came on the radio before that was a favorite song of someone that was very close to me that passed. I kinda smiled and said 'this is for you, XXX'

What do you guys think?

I have always believed in that last scene from Ghost...where Patrick Swayze is welcomed into heaven by (what we think are) his loved ones. That's how I always pictured it.

I do believe they can see and hear us - and I do believe they can watch over us.

I think there is an afterlife, I don't know if it is fair to say it is 'Heaven' and God is running things. But I believe that spirits are around. I don't believe in Hell, I think that someone loves even the worst of people, if my son goes and kills, and he is in hell and i am in Heaven, how am I at peace knowing my son is suffering.

Yes I believe there is a heaven everytime i hear the i been kissed by a rose I alway's think of my cousin joey whom passed away when he was 25 years old i get the chills when it comes on. I also do believe in the afterlife Bigtime i believe they can see you and if you are really gifted you can see them. i had a experience when my cousin passed on i was going through a rough time and i said joey if i can only see you one more time becuase i didn't see when he was a live the last time i saw him i was 18 years old my dad and uncle were in a fight and his death brought them back together. so as i was saying i said if i could only see you one more time i will be ok well i went for a walk that morning with my mom and i found a beautiful white feather and later that night when i was in bed i looked across by my dresser and i saw a outline of my cousin joey and i know it was him because he was in his marines uniform it cried and i said thanks joey now i know you dont hate and you still love me. that is my experience i have more but i dont want to scare anyone!

I agree with you janice as for hell we are living in hell all the pain we are going through now the war that is going and that hate between the countries and when someone we love close to us dies and it hurts so much that is hell when we die all of our sins on earth are forgiven and we are one happy family!

I feel the living can communicate in some way with the deceased, and vice versa. I have had several deaths lately and I can feel their presence around me. Hubby says it is all coincidence but I dont think so and neither does my MIL

I'm sorry to hear about your losses ---Fortunately I haven't had to deal with any losses recently, but I always find it creepy when there are 'signs' from the dead - I totally believe in them, and it really freaks me out.

Right there with ya... I don't think it's so much cynical as much as realistic. While it would be VERY comforting to think that there's something after this life, and that my loved ones are watching over me, that doesn't necessarily mean it is so. I think humans have this inherent need/desire to believe there IS meaning, that there is an after-life of some sorts, and that people don't just die. It's very discomforting.

DH, too. As unrealistic as it may be, it makes me sad to think that.

I take comfort in believing that there is a heaven and I will see the people I have lost when I pass on.

I believe in the Afterlife, Heaven, Spirits (ghosts) and I believe in signs. I also believe that signs are sent to us. I also believe in Guardian Angels. I have a sense that someone is protecting me.

I think this is me also, although, I have had some weird experiences where I've been comforted by a presence...but mostly in dreams.

Yes, I believe in heaven and an afterlife. I believe that those in heaven see us and look down on us. And most recently I saw how the deceased can still control things here. My grandmother died about a month ago and she was a real 'take-action' kind of person in a crisis as opposed to crying and boo-hooing. So the morning of her funeral, the cemetery called the funeral home and said that the backhoe had broken (the first time they had ever experienced something like this) and my whole family believes that Grandma controlled that because she didn't want everyone crying at her grave.

I do believe,

Roseann, I would really love to hear your experiences, you can FM me. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer and I am terrified of him dying. These stories make me feel better...

Thanks,
Denise
