What are your BMs doing???

So I am just wondering...at what point do the BMs do stuff?? My MOH is my sister and she's awesome...helping me left and right...but are the BMs 'supposed' to do stuff? Mine really haven't offered much...but I don't even know what I would ask them to do if they did ask!!...I am just curious what you guys think...??

They are ordering their dresses and waiting for my mother to call them about the shower - they are kind of 'waiting' until October/November to 'do' anything since that's when I'll need their help with favors, invitations, etc.

I have 4 BMs. Two in MD with me, and two in NY. Last week I had the two BMs in MD help me stuff and address envelopes for my save the dates. They were sooo helpful. They'll also help me pick out invitations so we can narrow down a few to show FH. I call them my 'paper girls'. I'm probably going to enlist my NY bridesmaids to help make up favors, and maybe some crafts, since all that stuff needs to stay in NY for the wedding anyways. They'll be my 'craft girls'. I have found that my bridesmaids are really willing and happy to help, but sometimes people need direction. So if you have a task they'll be happy to help, but on their own they may not think of it. So if you need help from them, even with little things, I would just ask.

Nothing as of yet. They are ordering dresses, waiting for the shower (that I'm 'not' having according to my mom ) and then they will help me wrap my favors in tool and add the personalized ribbon. Im sure they will help me with other things as they come up.

They haven't really done anything yet, except my MOH going dress shopping with me. I still have to ask 2 of them, tho 1 is being feeled out whether or not she would want to.

Anyway, I'm gonna have them over and we'll go order their dresses. Then my mom will prob take over with them for the shower planning. I'd love their help with the DIY stuff, but I'm not expecting it. So, it's really just down to the last minute things like wrapping favors and stuffing envelopes, and of course day-of.

I don't need help yet. I also am the type that if I get too much help I don't like it either. I guess as I get closer to the date I will need more help. Right now we are dealing with the things that the BM's really can't help with.

Being good friends. I love that i can call them when I'm excited about something and they'll be excited too...I couldn't ask for more than that!

There really hasnt been much for them to do but I have to say they were there for me when I needed them most recently with my Dad's passing. Once I hand over my proposed shower guest list, then all hell will break loose but I won't know a damn thing and I like it that way.

I think at this point there really isn't anything they should do. If you want, the next time you go to a bridal show ask them to come. But really other than picking out gowns, your shower and bachelorette party I think the rest is up to you, FI, MOH and parents. Trust me you don't want too many opinions anyway. That can make the situation very sticky!!

So far I have been running things by my sister who is the MOH and one of my bm's who is married but the other ones haven't done much besides go to look at the dress I picked out. I will probably ask them to help more when I start doing things like making favors etc.
