I was just curious what 'duties' you have assigned your BMs. I was thinking about it and some people say how much their girls have done for them... but I don't know what they would do. The only thing I have asked so far was for my sister to block the hotel rooms...
I'm just curious...

Actually mine havne't really done anything yet, nothing for them to do, but they all said whatever I need help with to let them know

My BM are throwing my shower and my bachelorette party. I didn't assign them anything, they took it among themself. That is really it.

Nothing! One is in NC and one is on Boston. My sister is here and she came to a lot of appointments with me to select vendors, but recently its been pretty quiet.

Ha!! My BMs don't do a DAMN thing!!! I don't know about anybody else but I'm lucky they got measured and put down deposits on their gowns!!
I don't really WANT them to do anything other than show a LITTLE interest in the planning anyway. I would like it if they OFFERED to help in some way (even though I would probably say no -- hi, control freak here )
My MOH has been great in terms of moral support, omg, she's been wonderful.... and she traipsed all over Long Island with me looking for my gown.
I expect them to help with the shower and my mom is already complaining to me that they are USELESS. Other than that the only thing I expect is that on the wedding day, they help things run smoothly. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt if they helped stuff the invites and threw me a bachelorette party.
Besides my MOH, my most helpful BMs live in other states (constantly asking how everything is going, emailing pics of suggestions) and of course, my pretend BM -- Soon2BMsZ, beats out the rest of them!

Me, too! They're taking me out to Vegas for the bachelorette party weekend. I can't wait!!!!!!

Nothing!! I was just talking about this to FH. I really don't expect them to do much.. I really just want to be able to enjoy my time.. it seems like whenever I bring wedding stuff up (and I don't often) the subject changes very quickly. I came to the conclusion that I have to enjoy this on my own.. with FH too of course. I am sure some of my friends want to be there.. engaged and planning a wedding.. they will eventually. But, I guess they feel bad that it is not them now with me. Who knows?
This is why I really did not want a bridal party. I just wanted my MOH. FH is old school and thought it would look strange. He now understands my point. Too late!!
