We're going to our friends for a party. I'll watch the game and root for the Eagles for my uncle, who's a huge fan, but i'm much more excited about the commericals!

going to my friends place, then to kev's friend's place for the second half.
I guess I'm rooting for the eagles... i just can't bring myself to root for the patriots...
actually, i'm rooting for them both to lose. Is that possible?

I wish it were possible for both teams to loose, especially the Patriots. But since I hate the Pats more then I'll root for the Eagles. I too am looking forward to the commercials.

DH and I have to go to a christening It was originally scheduled for the Sunday of the snow and got moved to SuperBowl Sunday. Worse...it is in CT!

My cousin just had a baby, and the bris is in Ithaca that morning. I don't think we're going to make it up there, though. It's so annoying b/c a bris is supposed to be 8 day after the baby is born...they waited to do it on the weekend so that family could be there, but Superbowl Sunday?!
Also, these cousins don't own a TV....

Our good friends (DH's groomsman) is having a party with his wife at his house. His TV is huge. I don't care who wins, I root for whichever team can win me money in the 'Super Bowl pool'.....

Don I don't want to get into this again with you. I have a right to root for whatever team I want. I really could care less who wins the superbowl. It won't be exciting unless you are fan of either team.

yeah i mean without the jets in it, i won't be watching it with my heart in my mouth, but it should hopefully be a competitive game with 2 great stories
1 team continuning a dynasty vs. 1 team that has never grabbed the brass ring

i've been around enough fans to know the real ones from the phony ones
and i can tell from how people respond to the sports threads who is a real fan and who isn't
