What banks still return the original check? not photo copies...

I just got a letter from my bank stating that they are switching over...

I still want to receive MY original checks back, not the copies...

We opened an account with Washington Mutual last week and they asked us if we wanted our checks back, so I guess they do.

Citibank does, but you have to pay $2-3 per month for it.

Banks aren't required to send you your checks anymore more banks are doing away with it... if they haven't already they will be eventually..

I still get checks returned from the bank of NY, but I am not happy with that bank otherwise.

We get ours from Washington Mutual - no extra charge, but it may depend on the minimum you have, and it may be a carryover from when we had the Dime account - when they took over they honored any existing terms.

Our old bank in Massachusetts returned a photocopy of the check - about 8 per page and that was convenient. For a small charge you could get the actual check if you needed a front/back copy but we never did.
