what can be my 'something borrowed'?

what can be my 'something borrowed'?

I have something old (my shoes)
I have something new (my dress)
I will probably have something blue (garter)

But I don't have anything to borrow!! I had planned to borrow my SIL's A-line slip/skirt (don't know what it's called), but my dress has enough crenoline and I don't need one. So I don't know what else to borrow!!

I thought about borrowing jewelry, but I'm still loking for something that I like that would look good with my dress, and I'm still uncertain about what sort of headpiece I will be getting.

Any ideas or suggestions?

or maybe an pold brooch or something u can put in your bo-k or maybe put somewhere on your dress? I think my mom has an angel pin from my granma i am gonna ask if i can borrow it and pin it to the inside of me dress

your something borrowed doesnt have to be something people see.........

Yeah that's a tough one. I think the most popular 'something borrowed' is some kind of jewelry. What about day of purse,? Or cake topper? Does that count, or does it literally have to be something on you??

Not really...my mom got married in Greece in the mid-1960s and didn't have any of that stuff. But I can certainly ask, maybe she's holding out on me

I lent my FSIL my diamond bracelet as her something borrowed. It worked out perfectly cuz it was a pave bracelet and that is what her ring, earrings and necklace had as well. Maybe someone has a small piece of jewelry that compliments what your wearing as well.

If all else fails, maybe you could take something small, like a pin or brooch from an elder in your family and gently pin it on the inside of your dress. I might be doing that with one of my passed grandmothers antique pins.

i agree -- it doesn't have to been seen but should be on you.

I am wearing my grandmother's engagement ring on my right hand. Both of my sisters wore it as well.

I just thought of this -- waht about someone's veil.

Thats so nice that you all wear her ring!

My grandma has a collection of vintage evening bags, so I'm using one of them as my borrowed item.

My FMIL asked me to carry her dads mistlet in my bo-k. how about having something wired into the bo-k? but i agree it has to be 'on' you during the ceremony.

should i remind you or tell you about the six pense in your shoe at this point
