So ladies I feel like this wedding is taking FOREVER to come. Wish it was this summer- anyways I work in a school and have off for the summer (may be working at my old job here and there) but I have a lot of time off. What can I get done this summer that won't be ruined by next summer.
I am going stir crazy and feel like i dont know what I can be doing a year ahead. I have my venue, dj, video, photo, florist booked so far and have ordered napkins from the knot. I want to keep ordering and doing 'things' but I dont know what I can use my spare time for

I'm in the same position as you. This summer I plan on ordering my dress and the BM dresses. I also want to book hair and makeup, limos, and hotel block. We just ordered our STDs and will mail them out in June. You can start looking for/ordering gifts for the bridal party and planning your honeymoon too. There's always something to do!

I am in the same boat as well .. I am a teacher and getting married next June..i figured i would do my hair and make up trials..limos..shoes..and bridesmaids gifts..i would like to use the time most effiecenitly

Hey take on a big DIY project that will take a while to do lol.. like making table numbers/favor tags or memorial candles. I don't know if you're into crafts but I know I can use up a ton of free time on things like that. Stuff I've started/plan to start this summer (wayyyy ahead of time) is my garter, bathroom baskets, table numbers, sign to tell guests to instagram/share photos, started making bridal party gifts, parent gifts.
oooh Order invite samples and play around with that...There are sooo many options out there, you could probably make a whole summer out of just that! lol and you don't even have to order them just shop around...since you can take your time you can probably find the best price/deal.

Right now I'm working on getting m y engagemeny party together. Its august 3rd but after that I'm planning on starting to print my invitations I want to have them all printed and put together by january so then when august comes all I have to do is buy stamps. Also ive been working on my brooch bouquet. So maybe any diy you're doing?

Oh my god, I'm in the same position. I'm actually getting wedding blahs. Everything is done, so now I feel like it will NEVER come. I've been trying to think of things just to BUY to see something wedding related, but can't think of anything. I'm going dress shopping in September, hoping I'll be 20-25 more pounds down. BM dresses can't be done until February. I'm kind of over it and wish we did the wedding for THIS November.

What Can I Do?
Definitely get your hair and makeup trials done this summer... it will show you how they hold up to the heat! You should also look for your dress the summer and everything that will go along with it (veil, shoes, jewelry)
I would try to get some little things out of the way and any DIY projects you plan on doing. You can look into and start any of the following: Flip Flop basket, table numbers, bathroom baskets, channa plaque, favors, bridal party gifts, parent gifts, music for dj for party and dances, readings for the ceremony, bubbles/pedals for after ceremony, bm dresses, mob/mog dresses... etc. etc. etc. You have PLENTY to do! Lucky you get the time!! :)

You're finished with everything?? Ah my wedding is a month before yours and I only booked the venue and photographer! I really need to get a move on things now!
