what can I take

for a migraine I've had for three days that has me nauseous, sensitive to sound and wanthing to keel over and die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've taken advil, advil migraine, tylenol does NOTHING, excedrin makes me sick, and alergy meds have pseudoehpedrine and make me sick.....HELP!!!!

Try Aleve. That's the only thing that works for me (even prescriptions didn't work). I get heart palpitations from Excedrine so I couldn't take it anymore.

it sounds wierd, but you should go get a massage. FSIL is a massage therapist and when i had a migraine she def helped me out. it might be caused by some tension in your neck/ shoulder muscles and she was able to release some of that tension for me. i hope you feel better!!!!

I take excedrine for headaches but when i get migraines i can't take it bc it makes me really sick too trying taking avil and drink lots of water... also if you a 'chiropractor person' i know not everyone is into it but getting your neck adjusted can help your headache and they don't have to 'crack' ao alleviate pain. I get adjusted all the time for headaches FFIL is a chiropractor.

I would go to the doctor. They can prescribe you something stronger like Imetrex. I get horrible migraines to the point I vomit and it's the only thing that will stop them for me.

you need to see a neurologist and get real migraine meds. Advil, Tylenol, etc are not going to cut it if you really have a bad migraine. Feel better...

when i get those i take 2 excedrin migrane..go in a dark,quiet room and lay on my face with a cold compress on my head...also i throw up..i know gross but it helps me..hope u feel better

I think it is time to go see you general doc and perhaps a neurologist. A neurologist can also prescribe different types of migraine meds that may be better for you than over the counter stuff.

I have the best boss in the world, she let me lay in a dark room for an hour with no nise, and the nausea is gone, still have the headache but at least its more managable!

i have suffered with migraines since i was 8 years old. nothing works for me anymore but FH takes 2 excedrin migrane & sleep.
or eat something high in potassium. (bannana or fresh artichoke)
then go see a neurologist.

i get migraines constantly...a few times a month actually

when i get them for days at a time, i go tot he doctors & they give me a steriod shot...it takes it away in no time... check into that maybe?

ugh, im the same... i dont remember ever NOT getting headached and/or migraines...

nothing works, its like ive become immune to everything

Thank you so much for your thoughts ladies, I'm FINALLY starting to feel a LITTLE better, it was a bad one, I used to get allergy shots, today I toyed with starting those up again as I know it's a sinus problem, but it's an awful feeling and I can't get anything done when I'm like that, the only thing that truly helps, besides 5 advil at a time, is laying in a dark room with a pillow and ice pack on my head, I'm DEFINITELY going to look into a massage though, wonder if I can write it off as 'medical necessity;??? you gals are the best, thanks so much!!

I just read this now. I'm glad you are feeling better. I get terrible migraines too Though excedrin is the only thing that used to work for me, it made my stomach a mess. Usually one tylenol, and one excedrin with food (and if possible-rest and cold compress) does the trick. Its my mothers cocktail as well.
