My FH keeps asking me this question... and, guess what, FH??!?! Never done it before! lol

Our Pre-Cana was three Sunday nights from 6-9 so it was sort of dragged out. We learned alot though, there were about 15 couples and you go around the rooms and tell everyone how you met. You wear name tags. You get a book and we did exercises, usually two to three per session, from the book. Then you compare your answers with FH. Piece of cake. Hey, it's one more thing off the list!

it's okay for grumpy FH to wear jeans, right? He's not a fan of public speaking, so he is not thrilled about this. lol. I'm kind of looking forward to it... although I'd rather watch the results of American Idol! lol

I have Precana tonight for St. Pats in Glen Cove. I'm a little nervous. It's the same feeling I had right before I went to confession for the first time as a little kid. I know FH is going to be completley grumpy, since he's been really busy with work lately and isnt thrilled about this whole precana schedule.

We did our first night last week and I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be although I think it depends greatly on the people in your group. We have 5 couples and are all in the same age range, nobody seemed overly religous or excited to be there but we were all pretty comfortable joking with eachother which made it more fun. They started it with a prayer and discussed it and then you are on the spot at certain points when they just ask general relationship type questions. I think it would be hard not to say anything at all or they might put you on the spot even more so I would suggest chiming in when you have something to say before they ask you to chime in when you dont! :) Good luck!

Sarah - I can feel your FH's pain. I was the grumpy one not wanting to go at all. And my FH didnt shut up, he rambled on and on. WHen I was asked a question, I gave a one word answer. I am NOT a fan of public speaking either. I am sure going with my negative attitude only made it worse so I will try to be more open minded for week #2. Good luck to you both tonight. I hear it really isnt bad and can be a lot of fun.

He's such a friggin' comedian. I swear, it's like trying to get an 8 year old to go to church.

its not the most exciting thing in the world, but it is also not terrible. we wore jeans and dressed comfortably each night. how it goes depends on who is in your group. good luck

Sorry, yes you can wear jeans, everybody in my group was very casual in jeans or capris. I would seriously ask him to reconsider the movie quotes (although NP is my fave movie:) before he gets labeled as a 'problem child'! I think the more it seems you don't want to be there the more they will pick you out. Just my observation....

lol... thank you. He IS a problem child. LOL... KIDDING! He's just being silly now - before we're there. I'm sure he'll act 'normal' when we're with other people. (although I'll keep you posted. lol.. ya never know!)
