What color flowers?

What color flowers?

I am having my BM's wear a charcoal dress with a pewter sash. It is a winter wedding and I am not sure what color would go with it and what kind of flowers. I wanted calla lilies, but is that more for spring and summer? How about lavender flowers? Any ideas?

BTW I am a wedding newbie and I just wanted to say that you girls have helped me with alot of ideas. This site is great!!! Thanks girls.

I think that you could probably go with any color really-you can have your flowers sprayed silver or have glitter on them...to add to your theme-maybe any white flowers

First off, welcome to the boards and congrats on your engagement!

Secondly, in regards to what colors and calla's - you can use a variety of colors with pewter, pink, red, white, purple....they all blend very well. As far as calla's - they're for anytime of year in my personal opinion, and it's your personal choice, so if you like them, go for it! If you have a specific 'theme' in mind, list it and we might be able to assist you a little more with types and colors.

i think the lavender would go nice with the pewter. I do not think that people stick to colors of the season as much as they used too. I went to a wedding in January and the girls hade sage green dresses with white flowers. If you love it go for it!

I'm doing a dark grey winter wedding as well... I'm carrying red roses with a white ribbon around the stem and my BMs are going to carry white roses with a red ribbon.

Send me a pic of your dress! I'm having such a hard time finding a deep grey
