Wedding Gown?
I know some brides choose Ivory (Like myself) or White. I've even seen a Red Wedding dress!!!!

Mine is raw silk so it is probably closest to 'diamond white'

I had Ivory. I wanted something white or off white, but definitely not bright bright white. Not too many people can pull of that bright of a color. I think it worked out perfectly.

Mine was Ivory with gold embroidery detailing. I never really liked the whole white look. I always loved cream or off-white tones.

I had what most would consider a very untraditional gown. My gown came in Ivory and White and I bought it in White. The gown came with a white bow and tails, and I ordered it without the bow so we could make me my own purple bow and sash custom. It was the same purple my bm's wore. I love color, and always knew that bright colors would be incorporated into my gown, and the look of my wedding.
