What color shoes w/ our BM dresses? (& other shoe questions)

BM dresses are tealength in euro periwinkle (which is really like a light/sky blue, icey color) w/ chocolate brown sash. I always thought a brown shoe would look best., but wanted to double check after a family member asked if we were doing a shoe to match the blue dress. I thought brown would tie in w/ sash and I couldnt imagine blue shoes. Is it just me? What do you think would be best? Of course the pic from website always matches shoes to the dress but I thought that looked bad with this color, not to mention i just dont like those shoes either so ignore that.





Also, if anyone has any suggestions for good places to look for shoes please let me know. I don't want them to have to spend alot of money but we want to have them all wear same kind since dress is tealength.

As for style shoe, looking for something more casual, maybe w/ no ankle strap and more like thong straps in front. Not this fabric or shade obviously but heres a pic just as an example of something like this style/shape shoe I was thinking. Would love feedback/suggestions. What do you think?? Thx!

i really like the idea of having them wear brown shoes. not only can i also picture it better, then they'd be able to use them again. however, i have no words of wisdom on where to purchase any. sorry!!

hmm, that shape of shoe might be a little casual for the dress. it looks very much like a flip flop, only with a heel. i know that's kinda the style these days, but it's not a fav of mine. i'm not suggesting this exact shoe, because it's got a ridiculous heel and price, but i think something this style would suit the dresses better. link

well, scratch that, i think it needs to be strappier than the shoe i suggested. jeez, i'm no help at all!

I would do brown shoes to match the sash and did you try payless or craft shoes in commack?

i guess im in the minority. i think an icey blue heel would look alot more elegant imo. Brown would just make the overall look of the dress heavy looking and winterish. The dress is very summery, i would stick with pastels and light colors.

i love that dress...i almost used that one! I ended up with a blue and brown tea-length dress as well. my blue is irredescent so it is hard. But salon shoes has a very cute brown shoe. it is similiar to the one you posted. they are online at www.salonshoes.com. it has a little bow on the front. also, bridal reflection carries that brand, so you can hold it up to the dress. that's what i did and it helped! good luck!
