the tux place told him he has to wear ivory vest and tie b/c my dress is ivory. I don't really love that. what are you guys doing?
i wasnt with him when he went or else i might have overruled it

My gown is diamond white and they're giving FH a white shirt- but he's wearing a platinum (silver) vest and tie.
I would ask if they have an ivory shirt so that he can change the color of the vest- if not then I'd probably say it was okay to have an ivory vest.

well as long as others are doing it... i can't remember if i've ever seen it. I guess i thought he would be the same as the GMs but they said he should match me.
not like he'll change it either way if i wanted him to!!

i like that. i wonder if it's b/c your dress is white that he gets to wear silver? I think our GMs are wearing charcoal grey vests and ties. and i told my dad to get whatever he wants.

thats what i was thinking too...i thought the guys would all do taupe but they went with the ivory vest for fh and he liked it. The guys are having black vests. I was ok with it bc i really like the guys ties so it goes well.
Go with him and see it in person, this way you can always make suggestions while he is there and ask him to just try on other vests just to see what it looks like

I actually like that- lol... I think that my FH is going to wear an ivory vest & tie (with a pattern though). The GM are wearing latte color to go with the BM dresses.... Something like this:

I think he might be wearing a merlot color vest (like my bridesmaids) and a black shirt. The other GM will wear white shirts.

stark white anything is just BAD i was actually dying for a darker colored dress but they didn't make it in the one I wanted... if I had gotten it he'd be wearing like a taupe or latte vest, which i think would look so good.

my dad wanted to wear his cummerbund and bowtie from the tux he has, which he wore to my sisters' weddings (um, 10 years ago!). I was like okay sure... whatever... but just so you know the guys are all wearing vests so maybe you want to check them out. and he was like well the cummerband is classic (it is???!) but hm... as long as mine is different then maybe we should all wear vests.

i was just happy he did anything for the wedding; he surprised me when i was away and called me up and said he got tuxes and limos... i was like because he hasn't done much, let alone on his own.
so i can't complain (even though he booked me an 8 passenger limo, and i need a 12 I think - but i'll just call the limo place myself and change it).
