Anyone know which days are normally cheapest? Fri-Sun? What if Monday is a holiday like labor day? I know it's best to ask the specific catering halls...but just in case anyone had any idea, i would appreciate it....i want to set a date and I'm not sure what day to choose.

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
thursday night is the cheapest, then sunday night, then friday, then saturday night. we are getting married on sunday july3. most places were charging us a saturday night price because it was a 3 day weekend. however, at lands end, if you book it for the whole day it was $40 dollars cheaper a person. so we are getting married at night but we have the place the whole day for cheaper.each place is different, you have to ask them their 3 day weekend prices

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
Prices I received varied in this order (from least expensive to most expensive):
Holiday (for example Memorial Day itself) Sunday day Saturday day Sunday night Friday night Sunday before holiday Saturday night
I'm getting married the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and we are paying a price in between that for a Friday night and that for a Saturday night. However, some other places did quote us normal Sunday night prices.
Good luck!

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
usually a friday night is cheaper then the rest. But it sometimes goes by the month also..and alot of catering halls are now offering Thursday night weddings...I'm sure they would be a good deal too..

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
We found in our travels that Sunday afternoon was usually cheapest and it depended on the hall if a Monday holiday was less or same as a Saturday night. Personally we're getting married on a Sunday evening but the hall worked with us on price since it's Halloween. FSIL got married on a Thursday which was 1/2 of what a Saturday night would have been.
GOOD LUCK! The fun begins.....

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
I do think Sunday weddings are cheaper than Fridays and Saturdays... Saturday Evenings are going to be the most expensive...However, I think Friday evenings are starting to be more expensive because alot of people want to get married on Fridays because everyone has the rest of the weekend off...

Depends on the hall. Some places Friday night are actually cheaper than Sundays.

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
I agree that it depends on the hall and the time of month. For us there was really not that much difference at Flowerfield in Nov in price between the days. But at some other halls, Sunday was cheaper but others Friday was. It all depends.

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
All the places i went to see Sun night was the cheapest. BUT if it was a holiday weekend THEY ALL gave reg sunday night prices. A sun night wedding on a holiday weekend is the best scenerio in my opinion.
PS--- Holiday weekend, sun night wedding book VERY FAST!

I called Jericho Terrace and they told me that Friday night was cheaper than Sunday on Labor Day weekend since Monday was a holiday. They Said Sunday would be the same as Saturday's prices......

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
I am finding for Monday of Memorial Day cheaper, if am or pm wedding. But if we want a twilight reception, 3pm on it will cost more, for we are taking the place for a whole day.

Re: What day of the week is cheaper?
Some places charge more for the actual holiday (labor day for example) because they have to pay their employee holiday pay.
