What 'details' do you wish you had done earlier?

I am looking for ways to eliminate the stress at the end. What sorts of things can be done six months ahead of time that people typically wait to do? I was thinking I can even do my programs now - I know al the details of the wedding. Any other ideas?

This is a good question. Have you done your hair/makeup yet? Invitations? what about picking out your jewelry?

programs, favors....thats all I can think of. If you do a search for Misteyeyed's most recent posts (April/May), she kept venting about the things she left for the last minute that she wished she had done earlier - I bet you can find a bunch of things to do!

I'm 51 days away. Just last weekend Mom and I started looking for toasting flutes, cake knife, cake server, and unity candle holder. I specifically wanted Irish ones, preferrably claddagh. I found them online, but the company had to order directly from Ireland because they didn't have them in stock. So they *should* be here in time, but I wish I had thought to do this sooner. Now I wonder what else I am forgetting!

My wedding is in the beginning of Nov. I have the basic idea for the wedding program put together...I dont have the specific readings and all but I put together the template for it. I figure all I will have to do is input the rest of the info and put it together. I dont have to worry about how I want it to look, because I already figured that out.

Also got the favors and wrapping. All I need to do is actually wrap them and decide on how I want the tag to look like. thinking of using the vellum from the wedding programs for that. Not sure yet...



but at least I have some ideas and dont need to run around trying to figure out how they should look, which is the stressful part.

Agghhh, you came to the right place to ask this. I have 24 days and I am scrambling trying to get favors, programs and place cards done in time. It seems like I have plenty of days, but when you consider how many of them will be spent at work, its not that much time. These are my major stressors right now.

Make lists of pictures you want from the photographer....Song lists for the DJ.

can I tell you...be careful with programs...

I was procrastinating with mine...and I was really upset with myself that I couldn't get them finished...then less than 2 weeks before the wedding my grandfather died...he was mentioned in the processional - so I had to take him out...and I also had to add him to the in memory section...

you just never know what can happen...
