What did you do for the in-between regular clothes and maternity clothes stage?

My regular jeans are snug so I can't wear those. My maternity pants are swimming on me. Does Motherhood Maternity have pants for the in-between stage? I am holding my maternity pants up with a closepin.

I think I did the rubberband thing for some of my work/dress pants. You put a rubberband through the hole that the button would normally go through. Then, you put the band over the button. At home I just wore leggings and sweats.

I also bought 1 or 2 elastic pants (yikes!) in the MISSES section and some baggy sweaters.

I am having that same problem. I am ONLY 9 weeks, but my fall/winter clothes from last year don't fit because I gained weight to begin with, and now I am PG to top it off. I am wearing a bunch of pants with a stretch to them, as well as some skirts, where I find it easier to leave it a little unzipped. I don't plan on spending a fortune on Maternity clothes. I am hoping my SIL will offer to lend hers to me.

Sue-

The panel pants work great!! I love them and they do have them at Motherhood by me. They aren't the ones with the big stretch panel for the belly...they are like a band around the top of the pants that help stretch with you.

Hope that helps-

Nancy, that is what I am wearing now. They are still too big so I have a big safety pin in them to keep them up and I am wearing a big sweatshirt over it.

Target- stretch pants, not from Maternity section. Yoga pants are also great. JC Pennys has some 'grows with you' type pants that have buttons at various stages of your ever disappearing waist band.

Thanks. I will look around. They have to also be long because I am tall.

I normally wear a size 4 or juniors 5.

I'm only 9 weeks in but everything started getting tight in my 7th week.
I just bought some pants that were a few sizes up, JC Penny's was having a $30 jeans sale so I went into the Juniors department and bought some super low-rise with stretch in sz. 7 and 9. For dress jeans, I bought some Seven jeans, again 2 sizes up (also with lycra) and a pair of Blue Cult Maternity jeans with the full elastic band. They're a small (which is essentially a sz.28 with an elastic band replacing the waist) They fir perfectly and are currently my comfiest and most favorite jeans for this between stage.

I've given up completely on wearing jeans that come over my hips and everything I wear now is below the belly.

I basically gave myself a clothing allowance for each tri, knowing full well that a lot of this stuff will be outgrown within a few months. But I was feeling like such cr@p not being able to wear my normal clothes and having clothes that really fit make a real difference in being able to enjoy being pregnant despite the fact that my body is expanding in all directions.

Ugh! I remember feeling dumpy in clothes too big...but not ready for maternity clothes. So I went to Macy's and bought some of their Style & Co. pants that have stretch material in them. They were not as tight as regular jeans or khakis, they had some give. They fit good on the legs but the waist had stretch to it.

I also bought pants in a size bigger than I normally wear, and I also found that Mimi's 'under belly' maternity pants were great because the waist sat at my waist when I was at the in-between stage,, and as I got bigger, I just lowered the waist band. I can't wear ANYTHING over my belly now... it feels strange and uncomfortable to me after so many months in under belly stuff.
