what did you get

your dad for x-mas? I want to get him and his wife a joint gift this year since we dont want to spend too much. Last year I got them a digital camera, and this year im stumped

that is a great gift, except for the fact that my dad is like a human map. He's been a bus driver for like 30 years, so he knows how to get everywhere!

he told me NOT to get him anything and he means it, he says the wedding is coming up so i better not spend money on x-mas gifts, he even meant for nobody at all lol but hes out of his mind...i did end up buying him something that was inexpensive bc we got it on sale and i know he'll yell at me for it but whatever

i got him a motorized tie rack, its something hes actually wanted for a long time

Maybe a gift certificate to a favorite restaurant. Oh or like a dinner cruise around manhattan? (me and fh did this! fm me for more info) Something romantic for the two of them

ETA: oh, to answer the question, me and my sis bought him sweaters and nice shirts.

i got daddy the new george foreman grill and a year's supply of omaha steaks. they come every month. lol.

we got my parents ballroom dance lessons as a joint gift. Then we got my mom vera bradley bags and my dad the ipod attachement so he can use it in the car and an adaptor so he can charge it anywhere and an Itunes gift card.

He has two ipods -- he is obsessed with them.

for chanukah we got both my parents a rubbing oil from williams synoma (sp) rosemary and garlic, along with chocolate covered pecans

for FH's parents we bought his dad a sweater and his mom a new beadspread (she asked specifically for it)

ETA: the gift for my parents came to 45$ the gift for his dad was on sale at macys and with the macys card we got an additional % off... and the blanket was at BBB and we used the 20% off coupon...

so all in all we spent close to 150 for all 4 parents.
