So, tell me what you paid to have calagripied? Meaning, not when you ordered your invites with things that would be duplicated like your return address but afterwards, like...outer envelopes with guest name and addresses?...placecards (really wondering about this), menus, programs?

Std envelopes or did you just write those out?

I had my inner/outer invite envelopes and my placecards done w/calligraphy. For my STDs we did the envelopes ourselves using the Lucida Calligraphy font. They came out great but it was a lot of work and many wasted 'test' envelopes to get the margins correctly lined up. I was really nervous to take a chance with my invites so I had a calligrapher do those!!

I'm not sure HOW much of a help this is, but I figured I'd answer anyway lol...

We haven't done any of that yet; however, I think we are going to have placecards calligraphed for sure-- every wedding (which honestly hasn't been a whole lot yet, but still) I've seen the placecards calligraphed. So we are def going to pay for that (or I'm going to teach myself how to do it).

thanks, this does help! Yes, 'done with caligraphy' would of made sense,

so, what happens if you get placecards done and then you have to add someone last minute...I guess just take your best shot, rite at doing it yourself?!

i only had the outer envelope of the invitation with calligraphy. if i had an inner envelope, i would have done that too. i thought about place cards too, but wound up printing them myself and downloading a calligraphy font. and i did my menus myself as well.

It also depends on who you use. My calligrapher's mom lived around the corner and I had a few last minute place cards and she did them for no extra charge.
